That last part should not come as a surprise, given that Fincher’s film debut was Alien 3, an often misunderstood entry in the franchise that was marred by what the man himself deemed lack of trust and creative licenses from the movie’s producer and studio, aside from it being rushed. Put simply, Fincher hates Alien 3 more than anyone. There are always sleepers and value picks to be found based on splits and matchups, but you have to dig deep to find them today. A heavy-hitting righthanded Brewers stack against Phil Hughes looks good, and it always pays off to load up on lefties against Rubby De La Rosa (Update: Arizona will start Archie Bradley instead of De La Rosa tonight.). Colorado hitters get to take aim against Dan Straily in one of the few parks that’s almost as hitter friendly as theirs, so that’s another potential stack in FanDuel and DraftKings contests....

For the early-afternoon slate, there are several interesting stacking opportunities, including the A’s (cheap), Royals (less cheap), and Pirates (decidedly not cheap). In the late afternoon, we like the Blue Jays, Mariners and Giants as teams from which you can find players to make the centerpieces of your FanDuel and DraftKings’ lineups. Of course, these picks are based purely on the numbers, so it’s important you remember players who are simply facing mediocre righthanded pitchers who don’t have a pronounced lefty or righty split (Michael Fulmer at BAL, Miguel Gonzalez at NYY, etc....

In terms of raw talent, Jake Arrieta might be one of the top two pitchers going tonight, but a start in Colorado – just a night after the Cubs marathon game against the Yankees – doesn’t seem like an optimal spot in which to use him. Of course, if he comes through and has a great performance, which he’s more than capable of, you’ll be in the money in big tournaments....

Cook had popped up on the Vikings injury report Thursday with a chest injury that he said occurred last week against the Broncos and limited him in practice.
