On Friday, the San Francisco Police Department identified Depape, 42, as the man who broke into Pelosi’s home in San Francisco and allegedly attacked the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. While speaking with CNN on Friday, Linda Schneider said she knew Depape several years ago in Berkeley, California. Schneider said that Depape would housesit for her occasionally while he was living in a storage unit. Schneider told CNN that Depape sent her “really disturbing” emails....

Freese, the third baseman who was the MVP of the 2011 NLCS and World Series, was traded to the Los Angeles Angels on Friday along with right-handed pitcher Fernando Salas. The Cardinals acquired center fielder Peter Bourjos and outfield prospect Randal Grichuk. The move means that the Cardinals' oldest current starting infielder is 29-year-old first baseman Allen Craig, and maybe he has to watch out because slugging Matt Adams is 23....

HBO’s sports series features “America’s Team,” the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas’ first episode of ‘Hard Knocks’ did not disappoint viewers. It surpassed expectations and revealed an up-close and personal look at Dak Prescott’s ankle. Prescott underwent surgery to repair his injured leg earlier this year....

According to a report from NFL Network, the Dallas quarterback turned down a $30 million per year offer from the team as he enters the final season of his rookie deal. There are conflicting reports on exactly how much Prescott is seeking, but NFL Network noted the number could be around $34 million to $35 million. If Prescott reaches the lower end of that range, he would be up there with Ben Roethlisberger in average salary and surpass Aaron Rodgers, Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan....
