One of the many story missions is to defeat the critic named Vincent, and this is a timed mission. In order to complete the whole thing in time to get all the ingredients to Bancho, players will need to be on the ball when diving for food. This means heading out to the Limestone Cave and grabbing everything as early in the day as possible in this cooking simulation game.

The Mission to Defeat Vincent
After completing the mission for Yoshie and getting her to fall in love with Bancho’s cooking, the next critic players will come across will be Vincent. He is much harder to please than Yoshie, mostly because he is on a strict time limit. Once he shows up in the restaurant, players have just two in-game days to collect everything and bring it back to Bancho’s Sushi for the final showdown. So a great tip for Dave the Diver players is to collect these items as soon as they see them; don’t leave them for later.
While Salt can be found in any crockpot under the water, both the Sea Grapes and the White-Spotted Jellyfish can only be found in the Limestone Cave. This is the same cave that Dave will find the Underwater Sea People’s Mural Chamber as well. If players have found each of these items, be extra careful not to serve any of them as dishes or accidently sell these items in Dave the Diver.
How to Find the Limestone Cave in Dave the Diver
In order to get to the Limestone Cave, head deeper in the water as soon as possible; players can swim backward and zigzag through the jellyfish or continue to the right and go down during the first opening. If players do not see the Limestone Cave while diving in this restaurant simulation game, they may have to wait until the following day; it seems to mostly only show up under the sea during morning dives.
Finding Sea Grapes in Dave the Diver
The game will inform players as soon as they have come in contact with the Sea Grape; it’s a wiggly, seaweed-looking plant that is a very bright green. Smack it once with the melee button and then use the space bar to pick it up. Players of this indie game only need one for the food battle, but they may want to grab some extras for cooking this hot item again in the future on the menu.
Dave the Diver is available in early access on PC.
