Martin Jacobson’s title will be on the line starting on Sunday, July 5, as the Main Event will begin with one of its three starting flights. The final table will be set on Tuesday, July 14, before seeing the November Nine coming back to play down to a winner in November.

The opening weekend of the WSOP will feature a brand-new event that will surely see tons of amateurs taking their shot at a WSOP gold bracelet. The $565 buy-in, $5 million-guaranteed-prize-pool event branded “The Colossus” should break records as the WSOP expects that the largest ever tournament field will make their way to the Rio on May 29. The Millionaire Maker will return on the second weekend of the Series. The winner, guaranteed to win $1 million, will start his/her journey on June 5, 2015.
Friday, June 12, begins the Monster Stack event, which returns to the Rio for the second year in a row. The 2014 event drew a record 7,863 players, including Maple Leafs superstar Phil Kessel, who cashed in the event, finishing in 587th position.
After taking a step back to the Million Dollar Big One for One Drop last season, the One Drop High Roller returns this year in hopes of once again raising funds and awareness for Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte’s One Drop Foundation, whose goal is to ensure that everyone around the world has access to water.
The full event schedule for the 46th edition of the World Series of Poker is scheduled to be announced in January.
