Yes indeed, that looks like Catwoman striking poses with the Dark Knight himself. And judging from the first cover they’ve leaped straight into their typical love/hate relationship. Should be great to see her in action, but let’s cross our fingers she doesn’t get her own spin-off voiced over by Halle Berry.

Other notable objects in the two covers include the odd blimps hovering over the city, an Arkham billboard stating “You Are Under Surveillance”, an Uncle Sam “I Want You!” style poster, and a graffiti emblem for Gotham Radio. What they all add up to is beyond me, but you can bet they’re the early signs of another epic viral campaign.

So now we can add Catwoman to the list of villains that already includes newcomer Two Face and old sport Joker, not to mention is faithful assistant Harley Quinn. A quick look over at GameInformer’s Arkham City Hub gives us another clue, as each of their upcoming reveals is covered by a familiar question mark icon. It would be reasonable to expect the Riddler to make a more substantial appearance in Arkham City. Oh, and there are rumors that Robin shows up too, but you know, whatever.

While it’s certainly disappointing that Arkham City won’t be released this year, it doesn’t hurt to know Rocksteady is taking their time and creating another solid title. It would be a damned shame if they rushed out a sequel to take advantage of the first game’s popularity.

So tell me how excited you are for this, Ranters. Did you see any other hidden Easter Eggs in the covers? Any new details we might have overlooked? Damn, I can’t wait for this game.

Batman Arkham Asylum is scheduled for a Fall 2011 release for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
