Neither Lineker nor Fabricio Andrade were crowned champion in their first title bout after a fight-ending groin strike resulted in a no contest ruling. With that, the pair will run it back on February 25.
Team Lakay flyweight Danny Kingad recently revealed his thoughts on the highly anticipated rematch in an interview with The MMA Superfan, saying:
Danny Kingad is also slated to compete on the ONE Fight Night 7 main card, as he squares off with Indonesia’s Eko Roni Saputra in what will serve as his 14th appearance inside the circle.
Danny Kingad expects John Lineker to utilize a different game plan for his rematch with Fabricio Andrade
Like fans around the globe, ‘The King’ watched Lineker struggle to deal with the length of Andrade in their first matchup. Kingad figures that the former champ will use an altered approach this time around.
He said in the same interview:
Kingad also has a pivotal fight coming up in what will be his first bout since December 2021. The 27-year-old is 10-3 under the ONE Championship banner and is looking for his first stoppage victory since 2016.
Be sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 to watch John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade run it back for the vacant bantamweight world title, live from the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
