Patrick pointed out of his radio show Wednesday that although Schilling does tweet about sports on his Twitter account, he frequently addresses hot-button political topics.

Patrick, who worked at ESPN for 18 years, believes that Schilling is going to continue to post material that may be controversial and that ESPN will soon have to decide if they are willing to cut ties with the commentator. 

In the past Schilling has held social media debates over evolution , chronicled run-ins with airport security  and attacked Twitter trolls for  vulgar comments  toward his teenage daughter.
