According to Elizabethton (Tennessee) Fire Chief Barry Carrier, a plane carrying the couple crashed at the Elizabethton Airport this afternoon, though they were not injured.
WJHL first reported the accident.
Elizabethton Airport manager Dan Cogan confirmed a private plane ran off the end of the runway and caught fire, but noted all passengers are out of the plane.
