These are important factors to consider in building an optimal lineup for taking home a tournament/GPP, separate from our DraftKings lineup suggestions for cash games and tournaments/GPPs. With the help of Collective Ownership Report metrics, let’s dive into Week 10 ownership themes that will provide context in assembling your tournament lineups.
Daily Fantasy Football Week 10: Quarterback
Collective Ownership Report has Marcus Mariota ($5700/QB16) well ahead of the pack for QB ownership this week, five percentage points head of Jay Cutler ($5300/QB22), presents an interesting case study on how many people will allow Smokin’ Jay back in their lives. This is a dirt cheap price for a quarterback who has demonstrated a high ceiling at points in his career. No one is touching Ryan Tannehill ($5300/QB22) after he burned people last week, though two scores were narrowly missed as Jarvis Landry fell short of the goal line and Tannehill missed deep with an open receiver.

Aaron Rodgers ($7600/QB1) should go chalk by QB standards once again, as over the past month he’s regularly delivered on yards and red-zone pass production. The Titans’ pass D won’t scare way the public. Carson Palmer ($6500/QB8) doesn’t bring the same consistency but should get plenty of GPP appeal at home against the Niners’, saving $1100 off the QB ceiling.
Daily Fantasy Football Week 10: Running Back
David Johnson ($8400/RB1) is widely regarded as a free square this week against the Niners’ historically futile run defense. Ezekiel Elliott ($7900/RB2) remains a safe bet for chalk these days, no different against a Steelers unit allowing the fourth-most DraftKings points to opposing RBs. Melvin Gordon ($7100/RB4), Jay Ajayi ($7000/RB6) and Devonta Freeman ($6800/RB8) are destined to at least hit medium-owned due to projected workload in fine enough matchups.

With so many backs profiling well on recent performance, workload certainty and matchup, we might actually see a week where Le’Veon Bell ($7700/RB3) doesn’t go chalk. Jonathan Stewart ($4900/RB23) is a bona fide featured back and will still go low-owned after a 42-yard week against the Rams, but does get enough work to potentially offset lack of targets at sub-5K. Collective Ownership Report projects him under 6 percent owned.
Daily Fantasy Football Week 10: Receiver
It took a long climb for league target-leader Mike Evans ($9000/WR2) to hit these price heights, and that shouldn’t deter ownership against a Bears defense allowing the most DK points to opposing receivers. Expect Alshon Jeffery ($6600/WR15) to join him in the chalk category due to his well-known track record with Jay Cutler. The public will take huge investment in Bears-Bucs given their respective secondary struggles.

Allen Robinson ($7000/WR8) bounced back last week but not a degree that will make the public forget how often he’s let down this season, at least not when faced with the prospect of the Texans third-most stingy D for opposing WRs. He could join equally-priced Dez Bryant ($7000/WR8) in low ownership of a demonstrated stud, though Bryant’s 19-yard day in Cleveland plays a huge part.
Daily Fantasy Football Week 10: Tight End
Jimmy Graham’s $5,300 price sits at TE5, he provides TE ceiling discount of $1600, and just made two one-handed touchdown grabs in primetime. Even a matchup with the vaunted Patriots won’t depress his ownership below medium-owned. Antonio Gates ($3900/TE9) tops 25 percent in Collective Ownership Report projections.

Zach Ertz ($3700/TE9) could also make a popular play against Atlanta’s TE-friendly defense. Steep price and the Chiefs’ red “5th” against opposing TEs could make a Greg Olsen ($5900/TE3) a contrarian stud play.
