Yesterday’s terrible pitching should be a distant memory after Friday, when we have a shipload of No. 1s and 2s on the hill. Finding the right pitcher to fit your budget won’t be a problem, so it’s probably a good idea to set your offense first then see which pitcher(s) you can afford.

Splurge: Noah Syndergaard, Mets at Marlins. With Johnny Cueto dealing with a side injury that could limit him Friday, and David Price facing the Blue Jays, Syndergaard ($10,600 on FD; $12,100 on DK) is the safest pitcher to pay up for. He actually seems a little underpriced on FD.

Save: Jimmy Nelson, Brewers at Phillies. Tons of good options in the $8,600-9,600 range today, but if you’re looking to save a little more cash, Nelson ($8,000 on FD; $10,500 on DK) is a solid value pick, at least on FanDuel. For a better value on DK, check out Danny Salazar ($8,600), who’s also a solid pick on FanDuel ($9,500).

Sell: Francisco Liriano, Pirates vs. Angels. I don’t like the prospects of a shaky Liriano ($9,400 on FD; $7,900 on DK) going up against a lineup of righthanded power hitters who can make him pay for his lack of command. There are better options in this price range tonight.
